After more than 6 years we decided it was time to update our website. We launched this new VeggiePets website at the start of January 2010.

If you are one of our existing customers you might like to read a little about the new features:

Better layout of information
We have organised the products into simpler lists where the key features can be seen as soon as you enter a category of products, such as 'Vegetarian and Vegan Dog Food'. You can see all the products in that section in their various sizes, including their veggie/vegan/organic/wheat free status and how many are currently available. We also introduce '+' and '-' buttons so you can easily adjust the cart quantity with your mouse.

Better price comparisons
We show all the products prices, but have also introduced a feature showing the price per kilo/pack/100ml etc. This makes it easier to see how the pricing varies between products and also between different pack sizes.

Quickshop
Many customers return to buy the same products each time. So to make things easier for them we have introduced the 'Quickshop' page. This is a very simple list of all the most popular products that can be selected and then added to the cart with just one click.

Better discounting and special offers
We have introduced a new system of discounting based on quantity. This replaces many of our previous bulk discounts. For example we used to discount on a case of 8 x Yarrah Duo Snacks, because a case is easier to pack, takes less time and it already has a box so we do not have to supply one. However some people would select 8 single products and not get the discount automatically.

Now if you see a discount is available on 8 boxes, you just add 8 to the cart and the discount is applied.

We will also be offering other discounts for customers who buy bulk quantities as well as a new 'Coupon' feature. Which will allow customers with a coupon to get a discount on either specific products, or the overall value of their order.

Behind the scenes
Behind the scenes we are also introducing some changes, such as a 'support ticket' system to ensure any questions, requests, or complaints are recorded, their response is tracked.

We will also be introducing a mailing list to help us communicate with customers. There will be the option to sign up only for the information that you really want. So you can select to receive only information about cats, or maybe dogs. This will allow us to make sure that our regular customers have the first chance to take advantage of any special offers or promotions as well as information about new products we have found. Customer may un-subscribe at any time.

Separately, we will have a Service Status list, which we would encourage all customers to subscribe to so we can notify them about any closures during Christmas and public holidays, or of any likely delays caused by incidents such as poor weather or industrial action in the mail system.

We're listening!
We are always glad to hear feedback from customers, whether its praise (which is nice!) or if it is a problem that needs attention. Even if you think you are just having a grumble, it is important that we are aware of anything you feel is not up to scratch and how you would like us to improve things. Just call or email us.
